Content publishing, engagement monitoring, and audience analytics
What agents can do in LinkedIn
linkedin_comment_on_postPost a comment on any LinkedIn post the employee has commenting access to - their own posts, corporate page posts, or posts from their network. Supports threaded replies via optional parentCommentUrn. Subject to confirmation gate when required.
linkedin_create_postCreate a new post on the employee's personal LinkedIn profile. Use to publish thought leadership, share updates, or engage with their professional network. Subject to daily post limit and confirmation gate when required.
linkedin_get_activity_summaryGenerate an aggregate summary of the employee's LinkedIn presence over a time window. Designed for PA cycle summaries and proactive engagement reporting.
linkedin_get_post_engagementGet detailed comments and reactions on a specific LinkedIn post. Primary use: monitoring for notable comments from senior contacts to surface to the employee.
linkedin_get_post_historyGet a chronological history of LinkedIn posts made by or on behalf of the employee. Use this BEFORE creating any new post to check what has already been posted recently and avoid duplicating topics or content. Returns post content, dates, visibility, and whether each post succeeded.
linkedin_get_profile_analyticsReport on the employee's LinkedIn personal-brand performance: profile views (from content), new followers gained from content, 1st-degree connections count, and lifetime follower count over a time window. Use for personal-brand and network-growth reporting. Note: LinkedIn does not expose raw profile-viewer or search-appearance data via the API, so those fields are reported as unavailable. Any metric returned as null (and listed in unavailableMetrics, with dataComplete: false) could not be fetched from LinkedIn - report it as unavailable, never as zero.
linkedin_react_to_postAdd a reaction to a post in the employee's LinkedIn feed (their own posts or others'). Subject to confirmation gate when required.
linkedin_reshare_postReshare (repost) an existing LinkedIn post to the employee's own profile - employee advocacy of company-page content. Acts ONLY on the invoking employee's own LinkedIn connection and ONLY when the employee explicitly asks for this specific reshare. NEVER auto-reshare and never reshare on behalf of another member: each reshare must be explicitly approved by the employee whose profile it appears on. Subject to daily post limit and confirmation gate when required.
linkedin_share_articleShare a URL/article with commentary on the employee's LinkedIn profile. Subject to confirmation gate when required.
